Cristina and Adam 7•26•08

ceremony: Ault Park
Reception: Twin Laterns
photographers: Kami and Courtney

Ault Park never fails as one of the prettiest locations in Cincinnati for Wedding Photography. The variety of backgrounds and the central location of the venue are perfect. Cristina and Adam had a flawless wedding day full of color and fun. As the ceremony was about to begin in the pavilion, I went to check on the guys where the minister was insisting on playing a hand of cards with the groom before the ceremony could begin! Everyone was very relaxed and the ceremony was very beautiful. Cristina was teary with happiness most of the day and led many others to join her! There was a long break between the ceremony and reception which I hadn't experienced before but it gave everyone a chance to freshen up and relax before the reception
began.Here are a few highlights....

Lucy and Brad 7•19•08

ceremony:St. Francis de Sales Church
reception: Ivy Hills Country Club
photographers: Kami and Candice

Lucy and Brad currently live in Chicago and came back to Cincinnati (where they are from) for their big day. It was fun talking about Chicago with everyone since that's where I started White Lotus Studios and began my photography career. They had a perfect day and what a good looking bridal party! The best surprise was when Brad's former band took over the hired band's equipment for a reunion performance. The dance floor was packed for most of the night. The official band ("The Twists" from Cleveland) were a lot of fun and kept it lively all night long!

Kelly and Brad Engagement 7•17•08

location: Ault Park

Ault Park is a busy place in the summer! There was an evening concert going on during our shoot which was nice because we had background music the whole time! Kelly and Brad were good sports even with all the kids running around. They even got into the fountain for a few shots (which I was a little jealous of since it was so hot out!) We also came across a deer and got a few quick shots before she ran away.

Joel and April 7•14•08

ceremony: Mt Storm Park
reception: Tinks

Surprise! Out of the hundreds of weddings I've photographed, this was my first surprise wedding. When I say it was a surprise I mean everyone was in on it except.... the bride! The guests arrived early for family photos and then hid behind trees right before the bride and groom arrived. Joel (the groom) planned the entire wedding and told April (the bride) that they were going to a nice dinner but would be stopping by Mt Storm first for a short walk. April was greeted by her son the moment she stepped out of the car. "What are you doing here?!" she asked. "It's your wedding!" he exclaimed with a bouquet (for her) in hand. The ceremony was intimate and beautiful and was followed by a nice dinner at Tinks Cafe in Clifton. The surprise was a success and will be a wonderful story for Joel and April to tell for years to come!

Liz and Eldrich 7•4•08

ceremony: Knox Presbyterian Church

reception: Bell Event Centre

photographers: Kami and Brittany

I love shooting engagement photos for couples before their wedding and then feeling like we've known each other for some time by the day their wedding day rolls around. In this case Liz and I did know each other a very long time ago.... in kindergarten class! It was Liz who made this discovery before meeting with me for our first consultation along with her extremely nice family. The fourth of July was a day of complete happiness for this adorable couple. The weather was teasing throughout the preparation but held off so we were able to capture some great outdoor shots- which again was perfect lighting (overcast but not raining!) Liz and Eldrich married in one of the most beautiful churches in Cincinnati. The reception was held at the Bell Event Centre which I thought was a nice compliment to the Fourth of July holiday.

Miranda and Brian Engagement 7•1•08

location: Eden Park

photographer: Kami

Several months ago Brian proposed to Miranda during a walk through Eden Park. Obviously no other location could be more fitting for their engagement photos! What a cute couple! The weather was absolutely perfect that day so it was nice and comfortable for a photo shoot. We re-enacted the proposal and walked all around the park for photos.

Amy and Ryan's Wedding 6•28•08

Ceremony: Covenant First Presbyterian

Reception: Cincinnati Club

photographers: Kami and Heather

Amy and Ryan had a hot humid day for a wedding! The forecast called for rain but when we arrived to start the preparation photos, the sky was overcast (perfect for good photos!) I was looking forward to shooting downtown Cincinnati and the church was beautiful. Amy looked gorgeous in her gown and was anxious to see Ryan before the wedding. We decided on the front of the church for Amy and Ryan to see each other for the first time and it was perfect. We got tons of great photographs. Although it was humid, the rain held off until we were finished with all of the outdoor photos so the timing was perfect. Amy and Ryan were able to walk right around the corner after the ceremony to the Cincinnati Club for the reception. Their centerpieces were beautiful and the entire reception was a classy event. This was also my first wedding with wedding planner Brigid and her team (from i-do weddings and events). They were an absolute pleasure to work with so hopefully we will see them again in the future!
